Aladdin remains my favourite Disney film ever - a major part of that being the contribution of the legendary Robin Williams, an absolute genius of comedy. When the game was released I was amongst the early players who absorbed this quite brilliant game.

Playing it recently, to check the cartridge was working fully, took me back to 1993 and despite gaming having progressed so far in the intervening years - this remains one of the most fun games I've ever played.

This is the complete original game, refurbished and comes with it original case - as shown.

A rare piece of retro gaming, Pre-loved and Fully Tested.

Aladdin for the Sega Mega Drive (known as the Genesis in North America) is a classic platformer released in 1993, based on Disney's hit animated film. Developed by Virgin Games, the game was widely praised for its fluid animation, vibrant graphics, and faithful adaptation of the movie's storyline. The visuals stood out, particularly because Disney animators directly contributed to the character designs, resulting in some of the most impressive sprite animations of the 16-bit era.

In Aladdin, players control the title character as he journeys through iconic locations from the movie, such as the streets of Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders, and the Sultan’s palace. The gameplay focuses on platforming, with Aladdin jumping, slashing enemies with a sword, and throwing apples as projectiles. Each level captures the atmosphere of the film, featuring memorable sequences like the magic carpet escape from the Cave of Wonders and a boss battle against Jafar.

Aladdin became a commercial success and is still remembered as one of the best-selling Sega Genesis titles of all time. Its mix of tight controls, beautiful animation, and nostalgic charm has kept it fondly regarded among fans of retro gaming.
